Brandie Bustillos, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

About Me
Long before dinosaurs roamed the Earth (or so it feels), Brandie earned her undergraduate degree in nursing from Shenandoah University. While completing her Master of Science in Nursing at George Mason University and George Washington University, she discovered a special connection with young adult patients.
As a provider, her career began in Primary Care and Urgent Care, where she soon realized that mental health visits were the most meaningful part of her day. This realization led her back to school over five years ago to specialize in psychiatry. Today, Brandie is dual-certified and board-certified as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Brandie is passionate about working with individuals facing Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD—diagnoses that have profoundly impacted her through the resilience and growth she’s witnessed in her patients. She also has personal and professional experience supporting individuals on the Autism Spectrum and their families, which deepens her empathetic approach to care.
Her core belief is to treat the whole person—not just the diagnosis. She is a strong advocate for the healing power of laughter and makes it a point to bring warmth and authenticity into every patient interaction.
At home, Brandie lives with her husband, son, daughter, three dogs, four cats, and a tortoise (though her husband has lovingly declared a cap on further furry additions).
