Spreading Joy, One Smile at a Time: Join Us for the Secret Smiles Project Launch Event
At Exhale Behavioral Health, we want to open up conversations and break down stigma around mental health. We want to remind one another that mental health is just as important as physical health. We’re excited to announce the launch of something brand new and full of heart: The Secret Smiles Project.
What is the Secret Smiles Project?
The Secret Smiles Project is a community kindness initiative designed to spark joy, spread encouragement, and brighten someone’s day through small, simple acts of compassion. The idea is simple: make something meaningful — like a friendship bracelet with a message of hope, a painted rock with an uplifting phrase, or a handwritten letter of support — and leave it somewhere for a stranger to find.
We call these creations Smile Surprises. They’re reminders that even on hard days, someone out there cares.
Join Us for Our Free Community Craft Event

We’re inviting people of all ages to come craft with us! We’ll provide all the supplies you need to create Smile Surprises, along with snacks, drinks, and a warm, welcoming space to connect.
Whether you’re 5 or 95, this event is for anyone who wants to give back in a thoughtful, creative way.

By creating and sharing these Smile Surprises, you’re becoming part of something bigger — a movement rooted in empathy, connection, and kindness. You never know who will find your creation, or how much they might need it that day.
So join us for an afternoon of creativity and connection. Make something beautiful, leave it for someone else, and help us spread smiles for miles.
Can’t Attend? You Can Still Be Part of It!
Even if you can’t join us in person, you can still take part in the Secret Smiles movement. Create your own Smile Surprises at home and leave them in the community — on park benches, library shelves, coffee shop counters, or anywhere someone might stumble across them. Then share your kindness in action on social media using the hashtag #SecretSmilesProject so we can all celebrate the joy you’re spreading. Together, we can create a ripple effect of encouragement far and wide in our community!
