About Me
Marnie Leadman is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 13+ years of experience. She earned her Master of Education in Community Counseling at The College of William and Mary. Her previous experience has included outpatient, residential and primary care settings with a wide range of ages from children through older adults. She has experience with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, family issues, addiction and co-occurring disorders. As a bilingual therapist, she also has extensive experience working with the Spanish-speaking community. She utilizes a person-centered, collaborative approach incorporating techniques from a variety of treatment modalities which may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) among others. She also provides Christian counseling for those wanting to integrate their faith into the treatment process. She believes the heart of therapy is establishing a trusting relationship with patients where they are seen, heard, and valued without judgment. She is passionate about empowering patients to find healing and wellness by creating a life worth living. In her free time, Marnie enjoys time with family and friends, good eats, road trips, and hanging with her spoiled cat, Oscar.
